Halloween Bats and Ghosts too!

Halloween is coming up! And if you are like me you LOVE making things for this holiday! :)
I've been making these for a years now and they are so simple and easy to make that even the kids can help! *I secretly love these types of crafts*
They are Clothespin Bats and Ghosts!
You can hang these anywhere so it looks like they are flying or floating in the air :)
And all you need is Glue, Spray Paint, Clothespins and Paper!

I started by spray painting the clothespins black and white

I then cut out little bats and ghosts
*this part the kiddies can help with!*

Once cute out all you have to do is glue the bats and ghosts to the top of the clothespins
I used hot glue, but those new fancy glue dots work too!

Now just clip them anywhere around the house!
You could also make pumpkins with these too! or Witches :)

Have fun!

Still Organizing!

Wow.. I never knew trying to get organized was so HARD. I knew it would take time, but I didn't think it would be this difficult. I guess I was VERY disorganized :(
Wait.. The first step is acceptance.. Right?
Yep!
At least I have made it that far!
Wow, I know i've said this before, but I cannot wait until I am organized.
Still working on printables! Hoping they'll make my life a little easier. :) Right?
I sure hope so!
I made a Grocery List printable that has an area to put what meals we will be eating during the week, plus a place to list what groceries we need to get. This will make sure we get everything (at least almost) we need the FIRST time we go.
It's the little things that count :)
I put it up on the door of my pantry so that it is right there! Easy access, easy to use, awesomeness!

Photobucket

Yay! :)

And on another note:
Look what I got in the mail from Pick Your Plum!!

I'm excited, I can't wait to get started with my ideas for these! :)

Happy hump day everyone!

I love this idea for a playroom! It's so creative and it brings in different elements along with the  Alphabet!!

I just love the little bee in this picture, it just adds cuteness to it! :)

I like how you have to look closely at this picture to see the alphabet! Very creative!

These would be a really cute way to show your toddler the ABC's! So cute, I want to make some of my own for my daughter!

I just love this quilt! This would be perfect for a boys room!

Giveaway Time!!

So I told all you who love to Scrapbook that I had an awesome surprise for you!! Well here it is!! But it's not only for scrapbookers, but anyone!

I was approached by My Memories, a digital scrapbooking website, which, once I started looking around, found it to be awesome! They offered me a copy of their program to try out and to give one away to one of my lucky readers!
(Eek! It's my first sponsored giveaway, yay!!)

Not only is My Memories easy to use, but it is also rated #1 by Amazon and Top Ten Reviews! I have always wanted to get into scrapbooking, but I was afraid of adding even more stuff to my "collection"(which my husband secretly HATES, he won't tell me, but I know he does hehe), so when I looked around this website I thought it would be perfect! Everything is digital!

Once I downloaded the program, I began right away! It was just so easy to use that I was able to jump right in. Here are a few pages I created with this program, but the possibilities are pretty much limitless!!

This page I created with a blank page and added my own designs
This one I created with one of their quirky templates, I liked it and all it took was a couple seconds to add in the pictures!

You can even make invitations!!

The possibilities are pretty much endless with this program!

So now for the good part!

Rose Ring Tutorial!

I don't know about you guys, but this past weekend seemed to last FOREVER..
I hope you all had an awesome Labor Day weekend!

During this LONG weekend I created a couple little rings for MYSELF :)
I just couldn't help it, I thought these were so cute I had to make a few for me!!

I think it's very Cute! The possibilities for these are endless! You could add them to a headband, make a necklace and pin... Just think!

Now... Would you like to know how to make these??
Well, here's your chance!

What you will need:
2-10" strips of Ric Rac: (I tried with different sizes of it and the medium size seemed to work the best)
Matching thread
Hot Glue
Blank Ring
Scissors
Cut the ric rac into 2 10" strips
Twist the ric rac together like so (I used a hair clip to hold one end together for me)
Now sew the bottom half of the ric rac together (I would normally use coordinating thread, but for this tutorial I used darker so you would be able to see it)
Take it and start rolling it together, I used a little dot of hot glue every now and then to make sure it would stay together
When you come to the end tuck it under and hot glue it!

When you are finished rolling it, you will have this
Now if you like it like this you can leave it, but I wanted my flower to bloom.
I started with the ends and pushed the petals down so that the flower looked like it had bloomed
I glued a little circle of felt to the bottom of it and then glued it on the pad of the ring, you don't have to glue the felt on, I just like to for looks.
And now you have your Rose Ring!

Have fun creating with these!
I'll see you guys tomorrow!

*I will have these available in my store this weekend!*

September and Such!

So September here we are! Time for fall, new school years and (most importantly) new s(c)h(ool) clothes! If you're anything like me you like to revamp old things and make them new again :)
I just love taking old things and revamping so they look new again. It makes me feel better, because I am saving money and giving things a new life!
And I LOVE saving money!
(It makes me feel better about spending money on those cute little fabrics!)

So whenever I can I love making things new again. Just like here:
Isn't the pleated collar so cute?!
I think it is! :)

I took this plain old short sleeve shirt and with a little bit of fabric and...
 tada..
Totally new shirt!

Would you like to revamp an old shirt that is hiding in your daughter's closet??

Well here's your chance!
(Now you can stop making excuses :) This only took me 10 minutes tops!)

I took a piece of fabric that could wrap around the collar of the shirt 3 times and was 2 inches wide

I then serged around the edges (If you don't have a serger you can just do a tight zig zag stitch around) to keep it from fraying

Then I started at the top of one of the left shoulder seam and went around pinning the fabric in pleats all the way until I get to the other shoulder seam.

Now I know that it has only been 5 minute since you started the project, but it's time to take it to your sewing machine :)

Again I started at the right shoulder seam and sewed to the other shoulder seam, also don't forget to backstitch at the beginning and the end!

And there you have it!
A brand new shirt for your little using things you have laying around!

I can't believe that it is already September! I can't wait for fall, it is my favorite season! And with fall comes my favorite holiday.. Halloween!!!
I just LOVE Halloween!
Oh, yea! Watch for plenty Halloween tutorials coming up soon as well!!
